MOSAÏQUE
An aesthete's watch in an extremely limited edition!
Made entirely in Geneva, the MOSAÏQUE by Barbier-Mueller timepiece pays homage to fine Genevan watchmaking and to the decorative arts. The entire piece, from the dial to the rose gold case, features a subtle cloisonné motif that evokes the art of mosaics, which dates from the end of the fourth century B.C.
In a reference to the pocket watch, the back has a cover that is similarly decorated. When opened, it reveals its heart - a mechanical gold movement designed by the Genevan manufacture FPJourne -Invenit&Fecit-, thus definitively confirming the horological legitimacy of this exclusive series.
Several hundreds of hours of work were necessary for the stones setting and the realisation of this aesthetically complex piece. The case sides, the dial, and the case back are very subtly adorned with a mosaic motif made up of brick-coloured, black, white, and green jasper.

An exclusive F.P.Journe refine mechanism
It is in the only factory in the center of Geneva - F.P.Journe - that the mechanical heart of MOSAIC is created in a limited series per year. An exception to the rule of the creator watchmaker who, to date, has never agreed to make available his movements for a watch that did not bear his name! Knowing the requirements and difficulties of manufacturing the piece MOSAÏQUE, he supports this project devoted to staging the decorative arts and the Geneva watch tradition. Convinced by the approach of such initiative, he decided to welcome the watchmaking creations Barbier-Mueller Geneva in the shops of the house F.P.Journe.

A unique box
The MOSAÏQUE is presented in a refined case also realized in Geneva by the workshops Joel Bouchet. A soft beige leather interior caresses the MOSAÏQUE. The cabinet has an exclusive marquetry work for each of the ten pieces of the MOSAÏQUE collection. The lid is made of Poirier wood, amboine loupe and various tones of speckled maple. The watch is accompanied by two brown and black crocodile straps
